Tradition at Stonewater

WORST PLACE TO LIVE!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! Our experience living here has been pretty disappointing. I would rate this place zero stars if I could. The valet trash service here is AWFUL! It's a TOTAL SCAM. They barely ever operate and they only take two bags a night. They have so many ridiculous rules around valet trash. We still end up taking out our own trash several times each week because the service is inadequate. Why are we paying for a trash service when we still have to take out our own trash?!?! The pool is way too small for the number of residents and it's always crowded. There's always bugs in our apartment and pest control is lousy. The management staff here have poor attitudes and terrible customer service. The package area is a MESS!!! At our old residence packages were placed in secured locked containers FOR FREE. Here your packages are left out in the open of the package room for anyone to steal unless you want to pay an extra monthly charge. They charge you for everything here (money hungry crooks). They don't even provide cups for the so called complimentary tea and coffee in the clubhouse. Who provides tea and coffee and doesn't provide cups?!?!? They want you to bring you own mugs. This place is full of money hungry crooks. The rent is way too high for what you get here. I can't wait for our lease to expire. We will NEVER live here again, and I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

I wanted to write this review because we have been happy living here for almost two years. I also wanted to offer some pros and cons for potential renters. Firstly, the office staff and maintenance team have always been friendly and accommodating to our needs. Maintenance requests are completed within the same day or next day. The neighbors are quiet and a lot of residents are families with kids. It’s also extremely well lit at night for safety. We feel safe here. The location is convenient being right across the street from a lot of restaurants and grocery stores. It definitely saves money on gas and our time. All of our appliances work and are pretty modern. We never had an issue with the cooling or heating system. The only drawbacks we have had in two years are valet trash service, trash overflow, and occasional roaches. Valet comes at varying times but, recently they seem to be on schedule. Also, the trash compactor occasionally gets stuck and people leave their trash on the side walk. We did have roaches a couple times last year (mainly in summer) but I haven’t seen any since then. You can call the office for pest control to come individually to your apartment if you see any. Keeping the apartment super clean factors in to keeping them away. But also, apartment living and down south is common for this. Overall, we absolutely loved living here and are happy we stayed two years.

If you're looking for a new place to call home, I highly recommend Tradition at Stonewater Apartments. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warmth and friendliness by Sadie, a leasing consultant, who provided me with an outstanding tour of the premises. She was incredibly helpful and answered all of my questions. The complex itself is absolutely stunning. The grounds are impeccably maintained and the apartments are affordable. However, it was the staff that truly sold me on this place. I was in a rush to move in, and Sadie went above and beyond to make sure the process was smooth and efficient. Thanks to her, I was able to move in within my desired timeframe. After I moved in, I briefly lost my cat. I was in a state of panic, but Ashley from the leasing office personally helped me search and found my baby!! I was blown away by the level of dedication and care shown by the staff. Overall, I can't recommend Stonewater Apartments enough. The ladies at the leasing office are fantastic and the apartments themselves are top-notch. This place gets a resounding 5-star review from me!

We moved here about 3 years ago and our experience has been great so far. We decided to live around this area because of the proximity to Durham/Raleigh/Chapel Hill (~20 min), and Tradition at Stonewater had the best price/quality among the options. Apartments and common areas (pool/gym/etc.) are well maintained, and apartment maintenance request are handled in a very timely manner. Amenities are pretty good. If you're into biking, it's very easy to get to Tobacco trail, or can get to not-too-busy roads in 5 minutes for road cycling. Also, very dog friendly community, our dog likes spending time in the dog park playing with his friends, and loves visiting leasing office for treats and pets.
